In the 2016 release, we met several customers who complained that they could not activate a new license with an existing account using Autodesk ID when trying to install the software I already have an option to install an Autodesk account. – Improved digital rights management and support Autodesk has very poor authorization management settings, and almost no support is available if you get stuck during a new activation. While Autodesk cites its decision to remove the screen as a natural development for a modern and more efficient interface, we want to see the option restored for those who want it.

The interface of the new workspace is so dramatically different that if you upgrade from an older version, you should take the time to learn how to increase efficiency with the software.

– Restoring the Classic Workspace Version If you are a long-time user of AutoCAD LT, you are disappointed that the Classic Workspace view is no longer available in the 2016 ongoing version (subscription plans can still link to it). Now we know you can pay a lot more to get 3D versatility for some premium Autodesks products, but for very small businesses that already think of LT as an expensive option, we would like more basics See 3D Settings. – Enhance 3D Concepts in AutoCAD LT For anyone who designs and designs 2D, it’s hard to beat the latest version of AutoCAD LT. Why recreate the wheel! The brave new world has always been there just some are just now getting to know it others have known it all along.Create beautiful templates and speed up documentation with AutoCAD productivity tools. But rest assured Auto CAD will still be around for a good long time because each and every program that Auto Desk creates uses the Auto CAD base engine for its foundation. I have used Inventor and you are right it has come a long way from its conception.

Currently I take 3d drawings and import them into ACAD and do what is needed. Auto CAD was developed to be modified by the customer in any configuration needed through lisp, scripts apps etc. Revit allows imports to it’s drawings using Auto CAD base engine. Revit, Civil 3d, MEP and even Inventor can now all collaborate with each other by the use of the Auto CAD base engine. Yes there are companies that now use Inventor 3d for fabrication, however you miss the point that Auto CAD will never go away due to the ability of its programmable engine. Michael I agree what you said up to a point.
